On my 1971 +8: Front end-6 (2 on drag link, 2 on tie rod, one on each king pin.) Drive shaft-3 (2 on U-joints, one on spline) one on each rear hub(total 2) One on clutch throw-out bearing Grand total

You clearly have something in there. The hole that lets the grease out onto the outside of the king pin is really small and so cloggs easily. Someone may be able to suggest a way of clearing it witho

Where can I find the clutch release bearing grease fitting? It doesn't seem to be accessible through the cut out on the transmission tunnel.

There is a small chance the fitting itself has been damaged. You might try switching the two and see if that gets you anywhere.
