- The R designation means that the location of the + and - terminals are Reversed from their normal locations. It's really just an offset issue and probably makes no difference in the application, but

- Check the position of the pos + & neg - terminals. They are normally reversed on one as compaired to the other. I picked up an Exide at the "BIG K mart." Price was right, good CCA rating & it slipped
