I think the Austin Healey Sprite 948 cc was originally fitted with a pair of H1 SU carbs, HS2 carbs from 1961 on both the 948 and then 1098 engine. All the owners manual says is "semi-downdraught SU

This guy must be an expert. Actually, you might have HS or H (no D) carbs. HS are single side draught with remote fuel bowl connected by hose (to the jet). H are also single side draught, but the fue
