I'm trying to adjust and balance the HS4 SU carbs I have installed on the 18GK engine of my 1974 MGB. The carbs have been rebushed and reshafted within the last four years, and don't appear to have

I'd say mis-matched carbs is likely to cause insurmountable problems, you are very unlikely to get then delivering a balanced mixture throughout the rev range, and balance is everything. I can't see
