Got a pair of SU carbs...w/manifold...I was gonna rebuild and try on my 79 spit 1500. How can I tell if they are hs2, hs4 or hs6? DAN appleorchard@prodigy.net

Um, um, I think its the measurement of the bore? 11/4" for HS2's, 11/2 for 4's, 1 3/4's for 6's. But don't quote me on that. You probably have HS2's or 4's, the dashpot on the 2's being pretty small

Hi Dan, The 2,4,& 6 are in 1/8" over 1" throat. So HS2 would have a 1 1/4" throat, HS4 would have 1 1/2", etc. Roger Elliott
