Rootes supplied the (optional) hardtops in either white or black from the factory. If you had a GT style Alpine or Tiger the factory would paint it body color. Hope this helps. Curt Classic Sunbeam

I've owned Alpines & Tigers since new and I have an extensive collection of factory literature which indeed shows the optional hardtops only available in black or white. My literature also shows that

According to Uncle Wally, Curt etc are corect. If you ordered a Tiger or Alpine from Rootes and opted for a hardtop they would paint it body color. Otherwise he said they were black. If fact he said
