Dick, Gas is the easiest. Mig is faster. I have done both. Which one are you the best at? I have found that buying a cheap set of headers and changing them to what you need works very well most times

I was told to mig the inside and the clean up with grinder--the to braze-solder the outside joint using a 3/16 or 1/8 fluxed rod--ie use low heat small gas tip, heat the flange and let the metal flo

The header expert (headers by Ed in Minnesota) I talked to said not to mig the pipe joints, it can leave dingle berrys on the inside where you cant grind them off, gas or tig is better. He also said

Dick, I TIG everything.....nothing has cracked or broken with the TIG. I weld on the inside of the flange and do not on the outside. Looks great and stays put. I know this doesn't answer your questio
