Sounds a lot like my Cast Iron D motor.... and we have run a set of 1 3/4 Schoenfeld's for the last 3 yrs with no real problems ... as a matter of fact we ran the C motor with Brownfeild heads on it

Keith this is what Headers by Ed says. Bigger is better. This is absolutely the most committed mistake we see in headers - people buying headers TOO big - bigger than what is necessary for the engine
