While I have my heater out of the car, is it advisable to have it re-cored. It looks in good shape and was just wondering if this is a part prone to failure. Secondly, I'm replacing the bulkhead hose

Hi John, I agree with Dave. Just take it to a radiator shop and have them check it out and pressure test it. Much easier than reinstalling it, "hoping for the best" and finding out later it has a pro

CAUTION,, do not Pressure Test the TR3 Heater core without restraining it,, Ask me how I know,,,, Does the word accordion come to mind? I had to sqeeze mine back into shape and it's not like new, but

I asked my local radiator guy about that, he claims that it should be able to withstand it's working pressure (which is only about 4 psi, far less than an ordinary garden hose) without being restrai
