The grills are held in by two pins at the left/right ends of the grills, that go into some springy receivers in the cowl. I got mine out with a hook like tool made out of a coat hanger. The hook goes

I agree with Stu. The grills have studs on the end which steel barrel sleeves that go into holes under the stud. Pry carefully to remove. I use a screw driver but I like Stu's idea. I strongly sugges

Thanks for the advice. I was able to remove the grills using a combination of prying and a wire loop around the center rib and a liberal doucing with Liquid Wrench. --Arden
