I drive in winter so I need the heater, which you may know is not too efficient due to low puffing from the heater fan. I seem to remember reading that an upgrade was possible by using the motor fro

Barrie, one thing I have heard is to use a relay in the circuit. Seems the motor draws enough amps that it will run quicker if you don't have the motor current running through the switch. Larry Hoy

Another solution is to have the electrons flowing better: Make sure the connections are clean, the switch itself is not the best design. You also may opt to work with an extra relay where the 12V wil

Someone has an upgraded fan available--somehow Mike Satur comes to mind as a source, but I don't know that for certain. Before you go to the effort to replace the fan, check that its wires are corre

With the wires reversed on the motor in my '72 GT the motor reverses. While it appears to be the OEM motor, perhaps it's not. Maybe they have different motors. I dunno. Bob On Wed, 19 Jul 2000 17:35:

Well, Barney, the heater motors on both my MGBs exhibit significantly different output volumes according to which way the supply and ground are connected to the motor. I would not have realised this

I would think that all MG's that were originally built with positive grounds have DC motors which are NOT polarity sensitive. I base that decision on what happens when these cars are converted to neg

Would you even notice if the wiper motor ran backwards? Possibly only by a slight change in park position, if at all. The wiper motor has a permanent magnet stator so reversing the polarity reverses
