Not sure how "safe" you feel about 400 grit sandpaper, then 600 grit, and some hours with a buffing wheel, but my aluminum wheels came out almost like chrome when I was finished. I keep them that way

Just saw a show last week on Speed Channel where they refurbed some aluminum wheels on a George Barris custom. They started out by sandblasting, then moved to the steps that Frank recommended. Rick _
