Hi Mike, Thanks for the info. I've learned from some other e-mailers that the soaking liquid was probably a mixture of 20 mule team Borax and water. Where did you run your Cooper in the early '60's?

If anyone is REALLY interested in the formula for soaking cotton driving gear, and has some really old GCR's around, the formula was in there for years from before 1962 up to likely the late 60"s. La
