I had the same problem with my 79 after converting to a Weber. There are some pretty detailed ways out there but I simply put a small vent hole in the cap and then ran a hose from the breather on the

You can run it into a catch bottle. I put a spitfire radiator filler neck on mine and completely eliminated the troublesome brass tank, turning it into an oil catch tank. --David C.
