- Well, my new midget will jump off, but the battery will not start it. I put charger on th battery for about 6 hours today (20 amp charger) and it will just barely turn over. I'll charge it some more

- Pep boys does have the battery, Group 24 fits up to 1968 when they redesigned the heater box. I do not know what series battery it is but I have bought them from Pepboys several times. And yes the $2

- Course you could go the originality route and call Antique Auto Battery in I think Ohio. They have the correct batteries and will fit. Price...about $125. george marinos nj Sprite MKII AN6
