I simply can't figure why they would mess up a naming convention that has been in place for over 50 years by reverting to the T-series designation, and one previously used, to boot. Seems pretty sill

I thought they'd want to start over as well, since MGG would sound pretty dumb. But I thought they should have started over with new series. Then they'd have the Z series for saloons and the _ serie

The current Naming scheme of MG* would have led to the car being the MGG, and I don't think that made any of the marketing wonks happy. Is there really any difference between a company creating a new

At that price, it'd have to be a Boxster or S2000 killer to sell to anyone other than MG-ophiles like us. And I can't even the Miata at half the price. -- Paul T. Root E/Mail: proot@iaces.com 600 Sti

Could have easily been "MGH". But there scarcely seems enough difference from the MGF to merit a change in designation, at all. MGF Mark II would have been about right. And where are they going from

Rover out I'd built in MG-Rover, It's not legislation that directly was to blame. Don't blame MGR, blame BMW if anyone. The factory was prohibited from marketing in or even designing for the US, for

I'm not sure what piece of backwards US legislation is keeping MG Rover out of the US market proper, but the MG TF would be a Miata killer, <<<snip>>> I've also read that they're afraid of lawsuits
