There was an old CAT tech tip about running new washer hose that is very good. I seem to remember that there are two pieces of metal the hose goes through and the holes don't line up. The best thing

Leather? What Leather? I've taken my pump apart with an eye to adding a switch to run an electric pump, and all I found was a rubbery bellows, and a valve that appears to be made of various plastics.
