Dear Triumph Racers I've recently been told (from a very reliable source) that 'rumour' has it that somewhere in the States there's a TR6 engine that revs to 8500! To say the least, I feel that there

Hi Paul At the VTR National convention in Asheville, NC, I followed J.K. Jackson in the autocross. Since I was following him, I didn't get to see much of his runs, but I could hear his car and with t

it say Someone once told me that J K Jackson's TR6 could do 8000 rpm, and from the sound of it, it may be true. It is one awesome TR6. I swear I saw him lift a front wheel on acceleration on a stand

One additional note regarding the JK Jackson TR6. JK is a degreed physicist, which may have some bearing on how he is able to spin his TR6 RELIABLY to those levels. Irv

I do know that he's still got some good contacts in the physics dept. at Florida State, and routinely X-rays any parts that might need it (like cranks, I'd guess). John Lye rjl6n@Virginia.edu

Sad to say, I can only offer hearsay, and say what I heard. At the VTR meet a few years back in Asheville, North Carolina, the autocross was held on a closed off city street. The far end of the cours

That reminds me. I think I shot a video of Mark driving back to the finish with two cones trapped under the front spoiler... sort of looked like teeth sticking out. Then you killed some at the end of

I wonder if the tach. starts at 2,000?. ...But that is wishfull thinking -the motor probably pulls to 10,000 -he's just lifting early.
