I too followed up on this and learned that the Series I Minx did indeed start in 1956. Upon recollection, the owner called it a Hillman and I said, "Minx?" Either it is a Minx and the title (or his

I stand corrected. Found another source of info. The Minx with Series designations started in the late 50s, but before that there were Minxes with Mk designations: Mk 1 in the mid '40s through Mk VI
