Have you checked clearance on the lift? I just bought a 2T folding unit from Harbor Freight, and although it fits easily between the wheels, it does not clear the suspension vertically. I'll have to

Most engine lifts will lack the necessary clearance to pass under the suspension. All that is needed is to lift the front bumper by hand while pushing the lift under the car. I've been doing this for

I have the same height problem with my hoist and one I borrowed prior to buying my own. Just have to jack the front of the car up a couple inches. I put both jack stands under the center cross member
