I used Copydex (do you have that brand in the US) last time I did a hood (on a Spitfire). It's quite forgiving since, if you are not happy, you can unstick and re-stick a few times without problems.

Rattling (of the cover) isn't usually a problem when under way, from just a few miles per hour the Bernoulli effect lifts it taut. I used spray adhesive to glue the cover onto the header rail. Lyndsa
