- Dan, I did that. carefully ground the brad off the rivets and drove the old rivets out with a thin punch. The usual problem I found was massive rust inside the horns. Apparently in the normal mountin

- Hi Dan, You're trying it the right way. Two possibilities: 1. The points are stuck closed; 2. There's an open circuit. From the first, you'll typically get a 'click' out of the horn when you connect

- I have been down this road and found poor connections between the windings and connector lugs. I had to solder the connections making sure not to melt the plastic insulators under the lugs. Good luck
