I was somewhat bemused by the article. Why? Well when DF said he was going to do the testing, he siad he was only going to change the rod stroke ratio which meant only rods and pistons to keep compre

It might not make any difference on paper but i can promise you that if you put a 6.2 rod on a 3 inch stroke engine with the same heads that worked well with a 5.7 rod it won't make enough torque to

I have always understood the test as a Bore and Stroke relationship test... Not a rod ratio test... Like most of you I've been reading Magazine articles and books on engines for years... Personally,

And that was the testing that was originally proposed. To once and for all find the truth of rod ratio controversy by changing only the rod ratio and leaving everything else alone. I have no doubt th

I think any decent engineer would run a rod ratio that suits the application just like the rest of the engine. On the start of any design there is a goal at the end. You don't run a rod raio of 2 if

In the 60's knowing nothing of rod ratios and port velocities I worked at getting my dragster light enough to get down to my weight with a 283 engine . Obviously a 283 with 327 heads had to be better
