Derf, It would appear that he made a bell housing by welding an aluminum plate to a cut down trans casing. I'd never heard of this swap even though I keep up with what the Spridget production racers

The reason the commercially available kit does NOT use the T5 is because it is so tall. This gearbox will NOT fit inside the prop tunnel of the Spridget without a lot sheet metal welding and fabricat

If, as claimed, it uses the Spridget clutch then one would assume input shaft modificaions must have been made.

The the company that does these is Canley Classics - if you search on that name you should get to their web site. They also do a bunch of other stuff in aluminium alloy - like the water pump housing.
