UK rocker switches were always fitted so that you push the bottom half to operate the item, and the top half to switch off. Clausager doesn't mention any different for other markets AFAIK, and the pi

On my 1980 USA MGB, the hazard switch says "Hazard" and the fan switch says "Fan". It doesn't make them work any better, but at least I know what they're supposed to be doing. --Steve ... Didn't late

Strange to say, a switch can be either top-on or bottom-on. The visible rocker can be reversed so that the invisible inner workings are moving as you prefer. I puzzled over that question for some ti

Yes, my 1978 MGB has words ("Hazard" & "Fan") on the swiches. My emergency flasher switch is a two-position switch (as compared to the fan which is a 3-way switch). When the flashers are "off" the sw

Not so strange really, since I believe the hazard switch is a single-pole double-throw (On-On) switch and the fan must be a double-pole double throw switch (On-On-On). If it's possible to hook the wi

The hazard switch is more complex than that. In the 'off' position the four contacts at one end are all isolated from each other and the two contacts at the other are connected together. In the on po

On the dash of the 1977-'80 MGB you have two rocker switches. Are they activated by pushing the top part in (the top part being the one that says Hazard or Fan) Or are they switched on by pushing th

I'm pretty sure I push the lower half of my switches in to activate them. The fan switch is a 3 way affair (off-low-high) and low sets each end of the switch the same "height" from the dash and then
