Also, wouldn't MGB seats be too wide? Never sat in a Midget but it's a narrower car, right? There is not a lot of room between my B's seat and the door, so I'm thinking that B seats would not fit in

It turns out that the extra room comes from a smaller transmission tunnel. For some reason, I ran into this situation once upon a time.
