- I recommend a glass Purolator in line filter . The benefits are 1. You can see the flow 2. Change the center filter element Just mount it away from the exhaust manifold, they hate heat. Alan

- A nice universal in-line filter that was originally used on aircooled VWs. Usually goes by WK 3-1/2 or W3-1/2. These are clear plastic and sell for ~ .95 each. Be sure to install the right way round

- Personally I like to use the 5/16" clear in line filters since you can examine the contents to see if trash is being picked up from the tank. They are usually about $1.50-$2.50 range. Regards, Hal Ro

- I'd recommend one of the the Purolator glass in line filters as one of the other listers does. You can pick up one at your local "Parts-O-Rama," however, you might want to swing by a Kmart and look
