I could sure use some help from you folks. Is it logical for the idle to be smoother when the timing (set at idle without vacuum attached) is higher...like at 20 degrees? This is a 79 B with the 8.8

Hello there: Try setting the max advance at about 35 degrees. THis will be at about 3000/3500 RPM. See if that improves things. Cheers:
