I was wondering how to improve my gas mileage. I use my '74 B as my daily driver, with almost all of my miles being on the highway. I'm only getting about 20-22 mpg. Is this normal, or should I be ge

The freeway mileage in my '69 jumped to 36MPG with a Kent Fast Road camshaft and a rebuild. Don't know if this will help for the later cars. Cheers, Dave Ambrose

The real question is...how does it run? There are a LOT of variables in this question, i.e. tire pressures and driving style. My 73 B gets between 24-27 mpg average. It's running strong. You may try

Fill the tank & park it in the garage. Gotcha! My 72 BGT has always been around 20-22. The rear end final ratio is want really kills the mileage.

doesnt sound out of the ordinary to me but..... check/clean/gap plugs check/clean or replace points, leads and cap tune carbs check tyre pressure, tracking and alignment is correct change oil throw 4
