155/80 13s are real close, and they are the tires you see in the tire sale flyers for $89 for all 4. A 165 is a bit shorter, an 80 series over a 78 series is just a hair skinnier. And I mean 2 milli

In the UK its a motoring offence to have odd width tyres on the same 'axle' . I wouldn't do the because the overall tyre height can and does also vary with the width eg the aspect ratios are specific

I had someone at a tire shop tell me that my running a steel belted 165 on one side of the rear axle, and polyglas belted 165 on the other side, would burn up the rear end. Is this the biggest load o
