- I just read the Chicagoland carb conversion adventure again. And it leaves me with a question. Do I need to use any gasket 'goo' for the gaskets (manifolds to head and heatshield, spacer, carb)? --

- I used the blue stuff when I rebuilt the HS's for the 67, can't remember the name right now but it doesn't set up so can be removed. I have had no leaks (but it is messy). Monte -- Original Message

- Hylomar HPF gasket dressing...Permatex makes it in the USA. Good stuff for float bowl gaskets, valve cover gaskets, etc., but I've not used it for manifold gaskets myself, so I can't vouch for it in
