- Coupe owners: Anyone out there tried to insulate the rear battery cover in a 1600 coupe to deaden some of the exhaust/road noise? What material did you use? I'm thinking of something under the cover,

- Thermozite.... it's an automotive product...about 1/2 inch thick felt with a heavy foil backing....sound deadener and heat "repellent". I used to get it at Parts America, but some other outfit bought

- Huh, I would think anything you could use under the bonnet would work under the battery cover. Similar exposure to the elements, etc. Never thought of insulating that but I bet it would make a differ
