Eugene, I'm no insurance expert but I think that "declared" value insurance could be re-named "not to exceed" insurance. If you declare a value of $5000 and the car is totaled you may not get $5000.

your car, the "agreed Value" is by both parties. You buy your insurance based on that value, and pay premiums accordingly. How can they agree the value is... say, $15,000, and then after you wreck it
