Hello Larry, et. al., My '78 Midget 1500 has a 4.11 diff. It is stamped into the casting on the upper portion of the driver's side. I am not sure if it is original, as there were index marks punched

Hello??? Richard D. Arnold as I understand it the '74 had a 1275 engine whilst the 75 and after has a 1500 Spit motor. The two are not interchangable. I think? Larry Macy 78 Midget

NO NO RIchard, the two cars have two entirely seperate engines, from two entirely different "bloodlines". Little if anything will interchange between the two. The pre-75 engines were what is know as
