My midget ( 71 ) did the same thing ! If you have the guts' you can disassemble the ignition switch, clean it ( the contacts ) strech the springs alittle and reassemble it. Guts are required because

I found the problem was one of the wires leading from the switch to the harmess. The male end was only partially plugged into the female bullet connector. Squeezing the connector tighter and plugging
