My BJ8 has number H-BJ8-U/42685 on the firewall tag. The number on the ID tag on the engine is 29K-RU-H/17244 but the tag looks crumpled. This is the same number on the Heritage certificate. But the

A good thing to check is the harmonic balancer. If yours has the later-style one piece balancer used on later BJ8s (i.e. for 1/2" belt) then probably some PO bought a used BT7 generator sometime in

My BJ8 is car# HBJ8U/42845, engine tag 29K-RU-H/17340. I would guess that your numbers are the correct originals for your car as per the certificate. Your car would have left the factory with 1/2" p
