- I'd say fuel pump. The pump can't keep up with the amount of fuel your engine needs above 4000 rpm. When you slow down a little, it gets the chance to catch up a little and fill the fuel bowl full. C

- How about fuel starvation? Check your carb float levels and the output from your fuel pump. You should be pumping at 1.5 to 2 psi. A weak pump will cause the problem you describe. ( so will a few oth
