A near-by car lot uses metal pipe ramps. Raise the wheels about two feet off the ground. They must be strong...they're supporting 4x4's! I'll inquire as to their cost and availability; letting the li

When putting the 1098 out of the burned car into our blue 65 Sprite, I had it up on ramps in the front, and stands under the rear axle. Stereo blaring in the garage, while I am out in the drive, with

One extra safety precaution I sometimes take (depending on how much "thrashing" I plan on doing beneath the car) is to stack a couple of wheels w/tires under the car. Even if the car somehow falls of

I have a pair of ramps. I have never driven onto them. I kinda doubt that it would be possible, anyway. Fortunately, the ramp part comes off of the platform part, so the ramps sit in a corner and th

Good warning story Brad. Now about 1978 I had a Capri (the German one) I was replacing the clutch in. Up on stands. Not ramps. About 11 PM, my then-wife, daughter, friend and his gf decided to head u
