I posted a message about this same problem last week and it was never really resolved. One of my kingpins has *no* shims and has a tiny amount of vertical play. Adding shims will increase the play. D

My brain is not in gear but I think if you file or sand the thrust washer you then get to the point were you can start using shims or is my brain really not in gear? Daniel1312

When I tighten the trunnion all the way down on the kingpin with no shims I have too much clearance between the trunnion and the thrust washer. If I were to reduce the thickness of the thrust washer
