I am going to have a machine shop remove and install valve guides, and cut and install valve seats. As I will have this at the shop, I'm thinking this would be the time to shave the head. I'll be put

without getting overly mathmatical, for a general cleanup, .005 to .010 on each is fine (I usually just tell the guy "skim it enough to clean it up"). Without the carbon on the head and pistons you'l

Since Brit iron is basically the same as any cast iron pushrod engine, any machine shop that works on chevys can do an A series engine. I an not certain but I think my shop took .020 off my head. Or
