- The Bugeye now has a leak at the bottom of gas tank. The tank looks good and I think this was caused by a stone. I would like to keep this repair wee tight. How stupid would it be to use self tapping

- Sounds to me like a rubber gasket sandwich will last about 15 years. I don't know how old you are, but that would just about do it for me. As a hint, the cloth reinforced, flat, black rubber faucet

- I have used JB Weld on my tank fitting on the 30 Chevy and it's still holding after 15 years. You can JB Weld onto a sheet metal screw and put it in the hole too. POR 15 makes an excellent sealer tha
