Well, the holes up there are for the windshield wipers or the cowl vent. The cowl vent is supposed to have a rubber drain hose with lips at the end. Sometimes this fills with muck. You didn't forget

Possibly on the driver's side from around the brake/clutch master cylinder housing? On the passenger's side I haven't a clue, unless you're getting leaks around the windscreen and it's dripping down

Chris, I would check the seal of the front fender to cowl pieces. If there is a little gap anywhere in the metal filler piece, you can get a leak that drips behind the dash and into the footwell. Sil
