Steve & Doug, Be carefull using a template. My original "Sunbeam" was missing a mounting pin so I decided to replace it. The new emblem had pins in slightly different locations. Larry Atkisson was at

Great idea, Scott. I would recommend a "powder" over filings, and would use something like Saran wrap on the paint side to keep the iron away from the paint surface. Can't use a "puny" magnet though.
