What about gear ratios? My car currently has a 2:88 (if I remember correclty). The engine (a 302) has been warmed up to 325hp and 326 Lb-ft. Jim -- Original Message -- From: "Frank P. Marrone" <itsw

Barry can probably supply you with just about any of the available gear ratios, I don't remember for sure (and I don't feel like looking it up) but there is a 3.07, 3.31, 3.50, 4.11, 4.56, more? You

A 2:88 and a close ratio is a ridiculous set up. The first gear is too tall for anything usefull. 3:31 is a much better choice for starting unless you want to change to a wide ratio transmission. I h

Curtis makes a good point. I was surprised that with the 3.31 it wasn't better than it is. While I wouldn't go as far to say it was "marginal" there is still a slight hint of "bog" even with the 3.31
