- Sounds expensive to me. I'm looking at a catalog from British Parts Direct and they get $675 with a 1 year guarantee. The catalog is a few years old but I don't imagine that prices have doubled.BTW M

- For $1295 you should get a ribcase transmission and a spare! VB lists 1275 trannys at $795 outright. They are not hard to rebuild, IF you have been into a transmission a couple of times before. Very

- Does the $1295 include anything else? If this includes pulling the = motor/transmission, rebuilding the tranny, or replacing with a rebuilt, = and throw a clutch into the deal, this sounds reasonable
