Not sure exactly what's wrong from this distance, but I'd re-examine the order you have the plungers installed and that you have the correct springs, plungers and plugs installed. Do you have spring

Hi Bob, Sounds like you have some interlock balls/pins and springs not quite in the right places. Do you have a manual to reassemble this ribcase? I can scan and send you a digram of the interlocks,

I'm no help, just curious... I always understood the 'regular' Lotus Seven used the BMC engine and gearbox, and the Lotus Seven America used Ford..? Ed in NC Curious kitty... :-) /// unsubscribe/chan
