How do you get the sheet metal off a bonnet to have it louvered and where can I get it done? I have a solid aluminum bonnet, but am converting the car to an "M" during the restoration. -- Mike MacLea

I don't think you remove the sheetmetal. The louver pattern fits around the existing braces. The gap toward the rear of the pattern is due to the braces, not the strap. Bill Lawrence

Hi Mike, I really don't know any other way to louver the BN2 bonnet, except to remove the inner bracing. There just isn't room to get the louver press into the proper areas without. The pattern was d

Au Contraire, mon ami, on a BN2 You really must remove the frame from bonnet to properly punch louvers in the LeMans pattern. The gap is for the strap. Jim around
