Last year I wrote to the list about a lack of oil pressure after I rebuilt my 1275 and put only 500 miles on it. I thought I might update the list on the problem solved in case someone else has a sim

Could you explain what and why replacing the rocker shaft increased you oil pressure? I thought that some of the luburication comes from the oil spray around the top of the cylinder head. Is this cor

Personally I think its "MFM". The difference between the old rockers and the rebuilt ones was as stated, the old ones sent oil flying everywhere and the pressure was low, with the new ones the pressu

He claimed that for any given system an increase in volume will result in a decrease in pressure, and vice-versa, This is know as Bernoulli's relation. Actually, that's known as Boyle's Law.

I don't think this is true. I think that with cold oil, the oil pressure will rise above the relief valve release pressure. I seems most likely to me that the oil pressure relief valve plunger is stu

You might have a faulty gauge. If the bearings are good but the pump is bad when you switch off the engine it ought to take some seconds for the gauge to go from about 5psi to zero. On the other hand
