Thanks, I was thinking about doing that after a recent comment. Of course, the *apparently* original coil on my TR4 lasted about 40 years mounted on the engine, and only failed 1 and 1/2 hours after

Someone told me to do this way back in 69 with my first TR3A, said it would keep the coil cooler. So I did it back then, did it to my TR4 and with my current 58. Bob Labuz 1958 TR3A 1974 T140V
