I was told by an LBC mechanic that he uses contact cleaner from Radio Shack and a .22 caliber bore brush for cleaning a gun. I haven't tried it but it should work great. Later.....Don Walton in NC

Buy new ones. They also seem to lose their springyness over time, or just crack lengthwise -- especially the triple and double ones. Regards Jerry

I have tried to do it, but have decided that the better path is to pitch the things and buy new. They seem to get corroded and brittle, thus never work quite right. On the male parts, which I clean

In the past, I've taken some 220 grit sandpaper, rolled it into a tube & "honed" the connector with that. New ones are pretty cheap, and I'd prefer that route now. Good luck! Jim

Thanks for all the suggestions for dealing with the Lucas female connectors. It seems the best idea might be to buy new ones and have them available when necessary, but that wasn't going to work for
